Early Winter 2013

Due to technical difficulties after the Christmas Concert was recorded by MetroEast Community Media (a catastrophic hard drive failure), the Christmas 2012 concert featuring guest conductor James Pham has been lost, forcing a replay of our Christmas 2011 concert. The staff at MetroEast all feel incredibly bad that the raw video files from this concert, despite massive efforts by the technical staff, were unrecoverable.

The repertoire and concert dates for the remainder of the season is posted under the CONCERTS tab above. As always, it is subject to last minute substitutions or change. We will once again have a guest conductor and student soloists at our spring concert, and we plan to have interesting guest performers throughout the season. Of special interest to our patrons, Mt. Hood Community College has eliminated fee-based parking this year - FREE PARKING has returned to the college campus!

Rehearsals begin at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 22nd, for our late winter concert titled Pops World Tour. The first three rehearsals are open to any qualified musician - we are always particularly happy to see new or returning (after an absence) strings players, and we could use some help in the trumpet and horn sections as well, along with percussion players. If you have any questions, please call the Pops at 503-669-1937 or email: mthoodpops@teleport.com

We thank you for your continued interest in and support of the Mt. Hood Pops Orchestra, dedicated to enriching our community through music.

We are always seeking enthusiastic musicians to join us for our 30th season - please contact Mt. Hood Pops for more information.
